Reviewer Recruitment and Information

We are seeking up to 200 physics professionals with experience reviewing papers (at least 3 papers reviewed). Those interested can apply by filling out the interest form herearrow-up-right, in which the there will be an option to tell us how many papers you are willing to review and how many weeks you are willing to commit to this project.

If selected, referees will be assigned a number of published papers to review. These papers will be chosen to match their expertise and background knowledge, but otherwise will be randomly selected from a pool of 1000 papers.

Each review will require the referees to fill out a form with specific prompts that collects both quantitative and qualitative data about the paper. A draft of this form will be provided ahead of time.

How are the papers selected?

The current scale of the project aims to get multiple peer-reviews 1000 papers, spanning 10 years across 10 journals.

The journals will be selected to be high-impact physics-oriented journals, with a greater emphasis in theoretical and computational physics.

We will use the ArXiv database to access papers from the selected journals in the selected time-span utilizing field-specific keywords. From this, per year, we will make a random selection of 10 papers per each journal.
